The Bethel Christian Academy Crusaders took home the championship trophy for the Williams Academy Invitational Tournament last weekend. The Crusaders went 3-0 in the double-elimination tournament that took place Thursday to Saturday, Nov. 19 to 21, 2015, hosted by Williams Academy of Crossnore.
The tournament consisted of four teams with a men’s and women’s bracket and included Williams Academy of Crossnore, Bethel Christian Academy of Spruce Pine, Teach Academy of Johnson City, Tenn., and Tennessee Avenue Christian Academy of Bristol, Tenn. Tennessee Avenue took home the championship in the women’s bracket. Bethel Christian Academy is a part of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Spruce Pine.
